I am a software developer based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
I have been in the software development industry for nearly 15 years, with experience across a broad range of technologies. I spent a number of years as a Java developer in the financial services sector. I have also worked in the automotive, telecommunications, manufacturing and public sectors over the course of my career.
I really enjoy coding and I became a bit disillusioned with the corporate world, so in October of 2014 I started out on my own and started Digital Artisans with the intention of creating beautifully crafted software. My partner in this venture looks after the graphical design side of things while I look after the technical delivery, so together we bring the left and right side of the brain into this venture.
I want to use this blog to learn and refine my ideas and in turn I hope to contribute and give back to the development community. Topics that interest me include software development, TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and software craftsmanship.
